The Tentative Assessed Value may be capped in accordance with Section 1805 of the Real Property Tax Law, otherwise known as the "6 and 20 Rule". • Full Market Value is the estimate of your property's market value as of January 2, 2020. • Level of Assessment is the percentage of Full Market Value at which properties are assessed as determined by the Department of Assessment. For tax year 2020/2021 the class one Level of Assessment was .10% (.0010). For tax year 2021/2022, the class one Level of Assessment is unchanged at .10% (.0010). • Tentative Assessed Value is calculated using your property's Full Market Value multiplied by the applicable Level of Assessment. (Example: A Full Market Value of $400,000 multiplied by a Level of Assessment of .0010 equals $400 in Tentative Assessed Value for tax year 2020/2021). |
